Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Beckmere LLC ("Beckmere," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit or interact with our websites and services.
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to beckmere.com and to the following Beckmere-operated websites and brands (collectively, the "Sites"):
- crimpshop.com — ecommerce store for connectors and termination tools

- cabletestshop.com — ecommerce store for test and measurement equipment
- wiringinstallers.com — directory connecting customers with low-voltage and network installers
- cablingiq.com — educational content about cabling, networking, and installation
Each of the brands above is operated by Beckmere LLC. Where a sub-brand publishes its own privacy notice, that notice describes brand-specific practices and supplements (and, where it conflicts, controls over) this Policy with respect to that brand.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three main ways: (a) information you provide to us directly, (b) information collected automatically when you use the Sites, and (c) information from third parties.
2.1 Information You Provide
You may provide information when you:
- Place an order on one of our shops (e.g., name, shipping/billing address, email, phone, payment information processed by our payment processor).
- Create an account on one of our shops or platforms.
- Submit a contact, quote, or claim form (e.g., name, email, phone, company, message contents, project details).

- Contact customer support (e.g., information you include in your message).
- Post user content such as reviews, comments, claim forms, or directory submissions.
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Sites, we and our service providers may automatically collect:
- Device and browser information — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, screen resolution, language preferences.
- Usage information — pages visited, time spent, clicks, referring/exit URLs, search terms, and similar interaction data.
- Location information — approximate location derived from IP address.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see Section 6 ("Cookies") below.
We use analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to help us understand how the Sites are used.
2.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from:
- Payment processors confirming or processing your transactions.
- Shipping carriers providing tracking and delivery information.
- Analytics and advertising providers.
- Social media platforms, if you interact with us there.
- Service providers who help us operate the Sites or fulfill your requests.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Sites and services;
- Process and fulfill orders, payments, returns, and warranty claims;
- Operate the wiringinstallers.com directory, match customers with installers, and verify installer credentials;
- Send transactional emails (order confirmations, shipping updates, account notices);
- Send marketing emails and newsletters where you have opted in (and let you opt out at any time);
- Respond to inquiries and provide customer support;
- Personalize content and improve the user experience;
- Measure, analyze, and improve performance of the Sites and our marketing;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, security incidents, and unlawful activity;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service and other agreements.
We do not use information collected through the Sites to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects without human review.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share information in the following limited circumstances:
- Within Beckmere brands — information may be shared among Beckmere LLC and the brands listed in Section 1 to operate, support, and improve our services. For example, an account or claim submitted through one brand may be processed by personnel or systems supporting another Beckmere brand.
- Service providers — we share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, analytics, payment processing, shipping, email delivery, customer support, fraud prevention, and marketing. These providers are authorized to use information only as necessary to provide services to us.
- Installer matching (wiringinstallers.com) — when you submit a request through wiringinstallers.com, we share relevant project information with installers we believe can serve your request. Installers are independent businesses, not Beckmere employees or agents.
- Legal and safety — we may disclose information when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, legal process, or governmental request, or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Beckmere, our users, or others.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction, information may be transferred as part of the assets involved.
- With your consent or at your direction — we may share information for any other purpose disclosed to you when you provide the information or with your consent.
For purposes of certain U.S. state privacy laws, we may "share" information with advertising and analytics partners for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may opt out as described in Section 8.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the services, fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, comply with legal obligations (such as tax and accounting requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the purpose for which it was collected.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it, unless we are required to retain it by law.
6. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies, pixels, web beacons, local storage, and similar technologies ("cookies") to operate the Sites, remember your preferences, analyze usage, and support marketing.
Categories of cookies we may use:
- Strictly necessary — required for the Sites to function (e.g., shopping cart, login session, security).
- Analytics — help us understand how visitors use the Sites (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Functional — remember preferences such as language or region.
- Advertising — measure and improve the performance of marketing campaigns and, on certain Sites, support cross-context advertising.
You can control cookies through your browser settings, including blocking or deleting cookies. Some features of the Sites may not work properly without cookies. Where required by applicable law, we will request your consent before placing non-essential cookies.
We currently do not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, but we honor opt-out preference signals (such as Global Privacy Control) where required by applicable law.
7. Your Rights — All Users
Regardless of where you live, you may:
- Access or update the information in your account by logging in or contacting us.
- Unsubscribe from marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or contacting us.
- Contact us with privacy questions or requests using the contact information in Section 11.
8. U.S. State Privacy Rights (Including California Residents)
If you are a resident of a U.S. state that grants consumer privacy rights (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and similar states), you may have the following rights, subject to verification and applicable exceptions:
- Right to know / access — to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, or share, and to request a copy.

- Right to correct — to request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of "sale" or "sharing" — to opt out of the sale of personal information or the sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As stated above, we do not sell personal information for money.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — where applicable.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the information in Section 11. We will verify your request before responding (typically by confirming information we already have on file). You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf, subject to verification.
If we deny a request, you have the right to appeal by replying to our denial.
California "Shine the Light": California residents may request information about disclosures of personal information to third parties for those third parties' direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, contact us at the address in Section 11.

10. Children's Privacy
The Sites are not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in jurisdictions where that is the applicable age), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

The Sites may contain links to third-party websites, products, or services. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this Policy.
